Triple Experience Weekend
Does anyone know if this is in effect yet? I tested about 15 minutes ago with a noob char and the first mission only gave the basic exp. I've worked out that GMT-7 time is about 4pm now... wasn't it meant to start at noon? I could have worked the time out completely backwards of course. I run in GMT timezone. Am I missing something terribly obvious here?

Missions are central to the plot of the game and need to be all completed if you want to complete the game, quests just pad it out and also let you acquire new skills.

It's 7pm GMT it started and it only works for main missions, not side quests. Unless it's in EotN, but I assume your newbie isn't there yet.

thats odd because it states nothing about the 3x xp only being for missions on the log in screen for GW's.
bug maybe? |

Triple Experience Weekend
Rack up levels and skill points beginning at Noon Pacific time (-7 GMT) on Friday, September 7, when you will receive triple experience for completing missions throughout Tyria, Cantha, and Elona, and completing repeatable primary quests in the Eye of the North expansion. This added boost will last until 11:59 PM (-7GMT) on Sunday, September 9. Says missions through the three campaigns and repeatable Primary quests in EotN, who knows, might be bugged? |

It's not working, the main page says it started, but my 2,000 exp EOTN primary quest gave me, guess what? 2,000 exp.
Hope it's fixed soon. |

I did the mission to get to the central transfer chamber, got 7500 exp instead of 2500 as is the reward for the quest, so it is working.

That was fun! I know a bunch of people were either confused our pissed about mission-only triple XP, but I found that if you'd started a new character recently, it was a great incentive to give them a run. After having played a W/Mo for two years since GW started, I rolled up a second character (an Ele) a couple weeks ago and had gotten her up to l8 right after the Searing and hanging out in Ascalon. After this weekend, she's now level 15 and at the Frost Gate after about five or six hours of play total??? not bad for me, considering I think it took me almost a year to go that far with my first character.
So thanks Anet, that was a cool weekend and really let me get acquainted with another class playing style. m19 |

Never got triple XP at all during this so called 'event'! Did various missions across campaigns and only ever recieved the standard amount! So much for me advancing some more towards my Legendary Survivor title!
